A Black Man for President

Today starts a new day in history for Black Americans and folks alike. A African American male has won the presidency of the United States of America. History has been made with the first person of color. Its a new energy in the air among people in America we as a people are feeling liberated and ready to embark on new territory.

Last night everyone was glued to the television as Barack Obama and John McCain went head to head for presidency of the United States of America. The victor in the end was Obama, now people feel like they have a fighting chance in the White House. If you remember all the old songs from the past from the funk era lets paint the white house black well now we finally get to relaize the dream. The first lady, Michelle Obama will be the nations first black women in the white house giving sisters all over the country their first look at a women of color to hold the nominated seat. We finally can look to some change in from the Bush policies of old and look to some new blood and ideas in the white house.

Hip Hop BET Awards

This weekend Atlanta was filled with stars from the Hip Hop Industry. All your favorite new school and old school rappers where in town to celebrate the B.E.T HIP HOP AWARDS. You could see them all from T.I. to Mc Lyte this list was star studded. The B.E.T awards show was held at the Atlanta Civic Center in downtown Atlanta. The was the pretaping before the actual airing of the show which will be aired on October 23 on B.E.T The city of Atlanta made a great deal of money from the event. The clubs, the malls, and concerts raked in a huge amount of revenue to help continue to make Atlanta a very profitable city. Janet Jackson even held her concert the weekend of the awards showat the Phillips Arena. Many people from around the country went to see Janet do her thang after several canceled shows due to illness.

The Second annual BET awards was held in Atlanta this year mainly in part, because a lot of artist who are on the charts are from the ATL. Atlanta is still the third biggest music capital in the country. Atlanta is still the premiere place for artist to build a career and lauch themselves into the national spotlight . I guess now all we need is the Olympics to come back to the "A" and this city will be the a hit all over again.

Its been a minute since I touched this blog, but things will get back on track soon. Today, I would like to briefly talk about women and men in entertainment, and get your feed back as well. As you know Kim from the "The Source Magazine" has been in the news lately about females being disrespected by the male rap stars and gaining success from it all. 50cent, had some not so pleasing words about what he and Kim's previous relations were. The success that came with being a women who may sleep with men to gain some level of advancement is the real issue. I would like to know what you think the role of the female should be out of entertainment,and inside the entertainment world. For example, should a women go for it all and do it all to get where she wants to be in the entertainment business even if her reputation is tarnished? And Should men be sensitive to women in the entertainment business or should they take the coochie when its shows its face?

I was thinking to myself the other day how many of us really just want the fame and not the fortune ! The music industry has so many twist and turns that it can leave you breathless, and hung out to dry. How many of you want to be a rap star? Probably everyone would love the challenges that comes with the task of fame. However, do you really have the guts to stick it out and put in the real work that it takes to make your dream a reality? One of my partners says he Has over two hundred websites, and still has two operate other business dealings that comes his way. I have over a hundred websites plus a vending company, and still have to operate the other day to day task that come my way. So, I asked how much are you really ready for everybody ain't built for fame or the fortune. What if you got a 100million dollars would you blow it to impress your friends, or hold it and reinvest to make 200 million more dollars.Everyone one see the life of 50cent and says if I had that amount of money but how many of you could pass up getting pussy for 12months to gain two hundred million dollars or miss three days worth of sleep.So ASK YOU AGAIN HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO BE A RAP STAR?These are just a few question that make you say hmmm....

We were out in full force this weekend in Albany Georgia. What is modeling you ask? Modeling in my own terms is a way to show your product,service, or yourself off as a means to gain money and work.
