Who Is Victoria Secret Marketing to

Image by Steve Rhodes via Flickr Does Victoria Secret market to other ethnicity's? When I turn on the TV a commercial for lingerie comes on from Victoria Secret. I only see white women wearing sexy underwear, and maybe one black girl in the ad campaign. The question is asked who is Victoria Secret Marketing their products too? I think there's are alot of women of color who are not being represented by the ads that are promoted by Victoria Secret. When I see these type of commercials it makes me think that only White Women like being sexy, and women of color are not attractive enough for Victoria Secret to make a balance ad campaign that covers all ethnicity's.

Many of us grew up listening to FM Radio stations. Many people have no idea who controls what you hear on radio. Alot of artist think that the Dj's and the radio personalities decide what music we listen to. The Program Managers are one of the most powerful people in music. He or She calls the shots that decides what music gets played. If you ever listen to V-103 or Hot 107.9 then you know that they always play your favorite artist. What you may not know is that most of the music is played according to the program managers play list or whats hot. Tosha Love is V-103's program manager. Many people think cause radio plays hit records that it is all about the music, and nothing could be farther from the truth radio is about sponsor, promotions, and advertising. Radio stations make a large bulk of their money by selling ad space to advertisers and promoting that information to the public. Records really don't yield any money for radio because they have to pay to play your records.
