Russel Simmons from Phat Farm to Argyle

NEW YORK - OCTOBER 19: Aly Kinloch, Sagen Alb...Image by Getty Images via @daylife As most of you know Russell Simmons released his latest fashion called the Argyle Culture. Russell started with Phat Farm now he has moved on to his newest venture called the Argyle Culture. I wrote a blog about hip hop fashion designers and are they respected in the world of fashion. I would have to say that Russell Simmons is probably the only guy whose fashion line is respected in the white world of fashion designers like Ralph Lauren, Polo, and Tommy Hilfiger. Argyle is for the casual man who wants to still be apart of the hip hop culture, but yet still look classy with button down shirts and blazers etc.

Black Males in Hip hop

NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 23: (L-R) Musicians Boot...Image by Getty Images via @daylife Black Males in hip hop have been given a bad rap. Many male artist in the hip hop community seems to get stereotyped as men who are loose with women, alcoholics, and unproductive in society. I think that the overall view of hip hop is that black men are worthless. I being an artist myself don't feel like every male inside hip hop is unresponsible. I think most of what the media puts out about hip hop is what the masses see.

50cent Says Gay Kayne Can Dress

A Video was released by 50cent calling Kayne West gay, but gave him props on how well he dresses. Many people in the hip hop community doesn't think Kayne is the best dresser on the planet. 50cent made the quote ,but from the looks of things and pictures being circulated the Queens rapper looks similar to Kayne in his dressing style. I guess money will do that for you. A lot of artist get a little cash and start wearing suites loosing the ghetto image to look more professional. I think these cats are all washed up and need to stop kissing ass so much. 50cent has his nerve of talking about Kayne, because he took a picture wit cut out sleeves and a tie wrapped around his neck wit the wind blowing. 50cent needs to watch himself before rumors start coming out on him.

Hip Hop BET Awards

This weekend Atlanta was filled with stars from the Hip Hop Industry. All your favorite new school and old school rappers where in town to celebrate the B.E.T HIP HOP AWARDS. You could see them all from T.I. to Mc Lyte this list was star studded. The B.E.T awards show was held at the Atlanta Civic Center in downtown Atlanta. The was the pretaping before the actual airing of the show which will be aired on October 23 on B.E.T The city of Atlanta made a great deal of money from the event. The clubs, the malls, and concerts raked in a huge amount of revenue to help continue to make Atlanta a very profitable city. Janet Jackson even held her concert the weekend of the awards showat the Phillips Arena. Many people from around the country went to see Janet do her thang after several canceled shows due to illness.

The Second annual BET awards was held in Atlanta this year mainly in part, because a lot of artist who are on the charts are from the ATL. Atlanta is still the third biggest music capital in the country. Atlanta is still the premiere place for artist to build a career and lauch themselves into the national spotlight . I guess now all we need is the Olympics to come back to the "A" and this city will be the a hit all over again.
