Who Do You know

Is it still about who you know in the world on business that gets you in the door? In todays high driven society of impatient people the term who do you know or who knows you is still key in the world of business and entertainment. If you are working towards getting a raise or promotion in your chosen field or company its all about who you know. I have a friend that new a friend in a related field, and thats how I got the job. Friends helping friends is what they call it, you have to know someone who can help you advance in this world.
